SKEENA SANDAL
The Skeena Sport Sandal Collection is a new take on ultralight sandals. Made from super durable, water-friendly, quick-drying materials, they'll keep you cool, dry and comfortable on warm-weather adventures. Focused around anti-slip footbeds to keep your feet in place with every step, while also creating all-day comfort and support for whatever you're getting up to.
Initial Exploration
Thinking about straps and how they interact with the foot, the team looked at the equipment of The North Face and applied the same thinking that is used in backpacks and applied the learnings to sandals.
Direction Finalization
Highlighting the strap construction of the sandal is the focus for the final design. Lightweight webbing combined with molded zonal padding that would reflect the backpack straps aesthetic from the equipment line. A modern outsole and midsole with contoured footbed would complete the design.

Market Release
The final Skeena Sandal collection offers a three point sandal and an adjustable three strap sandal. Aesthetically driven through design that highlights The North Face lightweight materialization and advance construction.
